Hart County Board of Health Minimum Lot Size Resolution – PUBLIC HEARING

The Hart County Board of Health Meeting would like to solicit comments about the proposed changes to the Hart County Lot Size, originally adopted by resolution on October 24, 2000. The Hart County Environmental Health Office began evaluating the existing lot size resolution as it pertains to the review and approval of on-site sewage management systems on private water supplies in Hart County. The existing lot size document contains a section titled “Intermediate Non-Public Water System”.

The proposed amendment to the existing lot size resolution would remove the “Non-Public Water System” section and increase the minimum lot size for private water supply to 1.5 acres. The proposed resolution also increases the minimum lot size for public water to 0.75 acres. A copy of the existing and proposed Hart County Board of Health Lot Size Resolution is available at:
