Adolescent Health & Youth Development Program (AHYD)

The Adolescent Health and Youth Development (AHYD) program helps adolescents aged 10 – 19 build skills to live healthy lives by reinforcing positive attitudes and behaviors.

It reduces exposure to risk-taking behaviors that lead to violence, substance abuse, poor school performance and sexual activity. The initiatives of the program ensure that young people have access to free, medically accurate, age-appropriate and evidence-based risk reduction education.

District 2’s trained coordinator can work with people from a variety of settings and institutions to develop a curriculum to meet their needs.
