Georgia Flu Surveillance Update: Week 47

Week 47 – Ending November 26, 2022

As of Week 47, Georgia flu activity is Very High=11 (on the scale of 1-13). Activity levels are based on the percent of outpatient visits in Georgia due to Influenza-like illness during this timeframe.

For the corresponding week, the percentage of outpatient visits for Influenza-like Illness was 6.8%, the number of influenza-associated death was 1; the number of Metro Area Influenza Hospitalizations was 110; and reported Influenza Outbreak was 1.

Graphic shows that Influenza-like Illness (ILI) were highest for age group 5-24 with a consistent decrease of cases on week 47 as represented by light green color, followed by age group 0-4 in red. On the other hand, age groups 50 and up showed a stable ILI number of cases.
