Wildfire smoke affects everyone. Children, pregnant individuals, and individuals with lung diseases such as asthma, heart disease, diabetes, or chronic kidney disease are especially vulnerable to wild fire smoke (CDC). πŸ”₯If you are near wildfire smoke, take steps to protect yourself (CDC):πŸ”Ά When outdoors, wear a respirator or mask.πŸ”Ά When indoors, keep one room closed off with clean air. Avoid burning candles, incense, etc., and use a portable air cleaner or filter in this room. For the central air conditioning system, use high efficiency filters. If it has a fresh air intake, turn the system to recirculate mode, or close the outdoor intake damper. πŸ”Ά Stay informed about wildfire risks near you and follow emergency alerts.πŸ”— For more tips to protect yourself from wildfire smoke, visit: www.cdc.gov/wildfires/safety/how-to-safely-stay-safe-during-a-wildfire.html#wildfiresmoke #WildfirePreparedness #wildfire #EmergencyPreparedness #district2publichealth ...
