Georgia Flu Surveillance Update: Week 46

Week 46 (Ending November 18, 2023)

For Week 46, Georgia ILI activity was High=10 (on the scale of 1-13). Activity levels are based on the percent of outpatient visits in Georgia due to Influenza-like illness during this timeframe.

For the corresponding week, the percentage of outpatient visits for Influenza-like Illness was 5.4% (regional baseline is 3.3%), the number of influenza-associated death was 0; the number of Metro Area Influenza Hospitalizations was 54; and the number of Influenza Outbreaks was 2.

For week 46, the graph shows an increased number of ILI cases for age group 5-24 and 25-49. On the other hand, a decrease in cases was seen in age group 00-04 and 50 and over remain stable.
