Thank you for visiting the District 2 Public Health website. I hope you will find our site to be a useful tool to learn about the health departments in our district and the services we provide.
Our mission is to prevent disease, injury, and disability; promote health and well being; and prepare for and respond to disasters in North Georgia and the surrounding areas. We are here to serve the community, and we offer health services for people of all ages.
For adults, our health departments offer immunizations, travel vaccinations, family planning services, maternal health services, and chronic disease screenings. For children, we provide dental care, immunizations, and child health services. Residents of all ages benefit from our emergency preparedness program, vital records, and environmental health services, which include restaurant, swimming pool, and sewage system inspections. Our health departments also provide access to large, national public health programs, including the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) nutrition program and the Ryan White program. Through these health services and programs, we save lives and we save money by preventing illnesses in our district.
Our district homepage includes a map of the locations of the thirteen county health departments in our district, and under our locations tab, contact information for the health departments is provided. I encourage you to make an appointment at a health department near you, or contact us with questions about information you find on our website or Facebook page. Thank you for your visit to the District 2 Public Health website.
